GrindMeta ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website grindmeta.com (the "Site"), an unofficial fan resource and database for games including Crimson Desert and No Rest for the Wicked. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account data. If you create an account to save builds, we store your email address and a per-user identifier used to authenticate you via magic link.
  • User-generated content. Builds, comments, votes, and other content you submit to the Site.
  • Contact data. Any information you voluntarily include when you email us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is collected by our content delivery provider (Cloudflare) for security, performance, and basic traffic analytics.
  • Analytics data. Where enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics and may in the future use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. These services may use cookies and similar technologies.
  • Advertising data. If and when we enable third-party advertising (for example, Google AdSense), those providers may collect data to serve and measure ads. This is gated behind your consent where required.

GrindMeta and its service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Account data is kept until you delete your account or request deletion. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
